Embracing technology firmly entrenched in the automotive industry, Haydn® is proud to release EVERGOOD™ as the sustainable material chosen for its’ environmentally friendly range of paint brushes and paint rollers.

By combining the fastest growing plant in the world, bamboo, with polypropylene, the result is a material perfect for moulding in to paint brush and paint rollers handles.

They are lightweight, highly durable, cost-effective and utilise a lot less material than solid wood. Even better is the ability to recycle these handles up to five times.

So don’t think wood… think: EVERGOOD™.

BAMBOO

Bamboo is a highly sustainable natural renewable resource and one of the main materials used to compose Haydn® UP™ EVERGOOD™ range.

BENEFITS:

• It’s a fast growing grass. Takes 3 years to harvest compared to 10-20 years for wood.
• Requires no fertiliser. Plenty of availability.
• Self-generates from own roots, meaning no replanting, tilling, soil erosion.
• Low water usage. No pesticides needed.
• Releases 35% more oxygen and absorbs 35% more carbon than trees.

CORN STARCH

Polylactic acid (PLA) is a plastic substitute made from corn starch, a carbon neutral alternative to traditional petroleum-based plastics.

BENEFITS:

• PLA is made from the glucose from corn starch. Kernels are immersed in hot water and sulfur dioxide. These break down and centrifugal force releases the starch. Enzymes are then added to convert into PLA.
• PLA is renewable, emits no toxic gases when incinerated and degrades in 90 days in humid and dark conditions.

PAPER PULP

Waste paper pulp is made from recycled cardboard.

BENEFITS:

• It is durable, flexible, stable.
• Made from 100% waste paper (cardboard )
• No chemicals needed in the processing.
• Pulp is shaped and then oven dried naturally.
• 100% recyclable, biodegradable, and
compostable.

RECYCLED PLASTIC AND PAPER

Recycling plastic and paper means creating less new plastic and preserving trees and forests.

BENEFITS:

• Recycled plastic reduces use of natural resources leading to less landfill and cleaner oceans.
• Recycled plastic reduces usage of oil. 16barrels for every 1 tonne.
• Recycled paper saves trees.
• Recycled paper reduces greenhouse gas emissions and water usage.
• Infrastructure to recycle already in place.
